Diverse hands representing support and teamwork

The Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) was created to provide a consistent structure for people who are receiving or have completed services at Casa Esperanza.

We offer meaningful input into the development of Casa Esperanza, Inc.’s policies, programs, activities, and future initiatives.

CasaCAB Goals
  • Empower Casa Esperanza graduates and current patients to actively participate in the decisions made regarding programming at Casa Esperanza, Inc.
  • Review quarterly Patient Satisfaction Surveys and make suggestions to Casa Esperanza Management about ideas for service improvement.
  • Improve communication between Casa Esperanza and consumers concerning the overall mission of Casa Esperanza.
  • Assist in organizing patient participation in community events including Recovery Day at the State House, Family Recovery Day, the Boston AIDS Walk, and World AIDS Day, among others.
  • Advise Casa Esperanza on matters relevant to the overall needs of the Latin community impacted by the issues of substance use disorder and mental illness.
CasaCAB membership
  • Membership consists of up to 8 individuals representing Casa’s programs including Mens Residential Program (2), Latinas y Ninos (2), Outpatient Program (2) and Housing residents (2).
  • Meetings are held once a month on the last Wednesday of the month in our conference room at 302, facilitated by our Recovery Coach Program Coordinator.

Members should include individuals from diverse backgrounds concerning ethnicity, sexual orientation, HIV status, socioeconomic status, and other cultural demographic groups.
