Familias Unidas Hybrid Groups (In-person and Telehealth).
Familias Unidas Outpatient Groups are available in Spanish and English to all Casa patients.
We offer the following groups:
- Seeking Safety: For people who want help managing crises and trauma. Topics include processing trauma and creating safety plans. Seeking Safety groups are gender specific.
- Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) & IDDT for Court-Involved Patients: For people with co-occurring (CODs) substance use disorder(s) (SUDs) and mental illness (MI). Topics include psycho-social support, setting goals, and managing symptoms.
- Wellness Groups: For people who want to learn more about managing their health. Topics include assessing health needs, recognizing risks, building healthy habits, and maintaining recovery.
- Mindfulness Groups: For people with SUDs, MIs, or CODs. Topics include yoga, meditation, breath exercises, and more.
- Thinking for a Change (T4AC): For people in recovery returning from incarceration. Topics include life skills, self-change, and problem-solving.
- Process Groups: For people who struggle with fear, anger, and other strong emotions. Topics include recognizing emotions, building resilience, and developing effective responses.
- Relapse Prevention: For people who want to lower their risk of relapse. Topics include relapse risks and triggers, prevention, safety planning, crisis management, and harm reduction strategies.
- Tobacco Education: For people who want to quit smoking. Topics include the health consequences of smoking, the benefits of quitting, and available resources for quitting.
- Anger Management Group: For people with co-occurring (CODs) and substance use disorders. Topics include practical strategies and support, and self-regulation skills.
- Holistic Health Recovery Program (HHRP): For individuals with SUDs or CODs. Topics include harm reduction skills, motivation to behavior change, and relapse prevention techniques.
- Addiction Recovery Education Access Services (AREAS): For people in recovery. Topics include skills building, mental health and trauma recovery support, and leadership development. This group is co-facilitated by a member of MOAR.
- Peers Supporting Recovery Program (PAR): For people who want to advocate for protecting long-term recovery for themselves and others. Topics include personal skills, recovery coping, and relapse prevention skills.
