Mi Vida, Mi Historia educates young people about choices that may alter their health.
Mi Vida, Mi Historia is an interactive, five-session health education workshop for young people, focused on substance use and HIV. Mi Vida sessions engage participants in facilitated discussions that encourage critical thinking. We encourage young people to assess the unwanted consequences associated with risky behaviors. They develop and practice skills for responding to peer pressure and setting boundaries. Our goal is to help young people avoid harmful behaviors through education and skill-building.
What is the time commitment?
Mi Vida, Mi Historia cohorts usually meet once or twice per week for five sessions. Sessions are typically two hours each, but may be done in one-hour increments as well. We also partner with community organizations and groups interested in having Casa deliver this curriculum to their community. Please contact us to discuss scheduling a Mi Vida, Mi Historia group at a time convenient to your needs.
