We must prioritize the care of those most vulnerable in our community;

We must uphold the dignity of each individual and family affected by addiction and their capacity to become the architect of their own recovery;

People in recovery have a right to a safe, stable environment in which to receive treatment, recover and live;

Care should be integrated. We cannot treat a single problem, but rather, we must treat the whole person and the whole family;

Recovery requires supportive relationships and supportive communities;

Culture, in all of its varied representations plays an essential role in each person’s unique pathway in recovery;

Just as we challenge our clients to develop self awareness, change old behaviors, and transform their lives, we must challenge ourselves to engage in a continuous learning process that delivers evidence-based practice, improves client outcomes and quality of life, and fuels innovation;

Physical, mental and spiritual health are the essential building blocks of economic independence, family reunification, and community development;

Ultimately, our work is about sustaining hope and encouraging dreams– helping people move beyond “just getting by” so they can lead lives filled with pride, purpose, and love;

It is essential to cultivate a “team-oriented” environment that values the unique contributions of each individual; fosters collaboration, mutual respect, and confianza.
